Students and staff at Sydney Boys High School have a vast array of equipment available for use in the Makerspace, such as 3D Printers, Laser Cutters and Arduinos. However, there was no way to manage the flow of people in and out of the area, and no system to keep track of these items.
The solution was to introduce a digital lock and NFC access cards, making entering and exiting the room a breeze for students and teachers alike. With flexible user permissions and access control, the Streamline App provides teachers and administrators with ease of mind. An inventory tracking system was also produced, helping with both existing items and the procurement of future equipment. The system uses SKUs and barcodes to identify items and assign them to specific users, ensuring that no items get lost or misplaced.
